Ben joins the USMES Elite Racing Team with 15+ years of experience as a competitive long-distance runner. He’s a 2004 graduate of the Air Force Academy where he was a 4-time Track conference champion (5k/10k) and Cross-Country team MVP. Following his commissioning, he earned his pilot wings and served as an Air Force instructor pilot in T-6 & U-28 aircraft.  He is currently a full-time C-21 Learjet pilot in the Colorado Air National Guard.

Over his 10+ years as an active duty pilot Ben continued to train and race competitively, competing in multiple Armed Forces Championships and CISM World Military Championships, placing 9th (2:15:46) in the 2016 TCS New York City Marathon, as well as 17th (2:18:37) in the 2016 Olympic Marathon Trials.  Ben currently trains under coach Juli Benson as part of the Pikes Peak Elite Track Club.
