Directly out of high school Scott joined the Marine Corps where he was assigned to Weapons Co, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, as a machine gunner for 7 years before he was wounded and retired. Scott Deployed to Afghanistan once and Iraq twice. During his second deployment to Iraq in 2006 he was hit by multiple IED’s resulting in a Traumatic Brain Injury and PTSD.

After 3 years of rehab Scott began to get back into sports. In 2010, Scott participated in the Warrior Games where he won the title of Ultimate Champion. The Warrior Games reignited Scott’s desire to compete in sports again; that is when he found Para cycling.

Scott is a 7 time C4 National Champion in the road time trial, criterium, track 4k pursuit and 10k scratch race. Scott is the former World Record Holder in the 4k Pursuit and current National Record Holder. He has two World Cup Medals and a 4th place finish at the World Championships in the Road Time Trial and Track 4k Pursuit.

When not training Scott enjoys his free time with his beautiful wife Tonya and his four dogs and cat. He also enjoys mountain bike rides and traveling with his wife.
