Tamela Swan // Adventure Racing

Tamela attended West Point with the Class of 1985. While at the United States Military Academy Tamela played lacrosse and was a member of the Academy Marathon Team.  Tamela held the Academy record for the women’s marathon finish time and she successfully completed Airborne School.  Tamela now works and lives in northern NH.

Tamela started multisport racing in 2002 with triathlon and duathlons, which included 3 full distance ironman triathlons.  In 2006 she added Adventure racing to the mix.  She has competed in 40+ races ranging from 6 hours to 3.5 days.  There have been a few first place finishes in regional races and a 4th place at USARA Nationals in 2011.  Her 2017 racing highlights are the 4 Day Breakdown in April and ARWC this August in Wyoming.
