Motto: “Take the risk or lose the chance.”
When Tristan first started cycling, he was eager to compete with the best talent available, rather than cherry-picking races to achieve podium finishes. He believed this would push him to become a better rider. Tristan sums up this philosophy with the motto of “take the risk or lose the chance,” and his strategy has paid off. After discovering bike racing on West Point’s cycling team, within 30 months Tristan upgraded from Category 5 to the UCI Pro category for cyclocross. Tristan now has one season of experience racing in pro cyclocross, and is eager to improve during the upcoming season. Besides his rapid rise in cyclocross, in 2017 Tristan finished 2nd Overall in the Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference (2016-17), his West Point Cycling Team won the Omnium National Title for Collegiate Cycling (2017), and he upgraded to Cat 2 on the track.
