ELITE TEAMS

USMES supports many athletes through the USMES Elite Athlete Program, (to include but not limited to an elite road cycling and para-cycling teams) that supports team-based concepts in athletics.  However, the program also supports sports that are more individual in nature, including, but not limited to: triathlon, track cycling, mountain biking, women’s road cycling and running.  Each program has a slightly different target candidate pool and focus based on the nature of the sport.  Ultimately we want to support the highest level veteran/servicemember athletes we realistically can within each discipline.  Selection as a USMES Elite Athlete is very competitive and athletes must meet minimum requirements and adhere to professionalism standards throughout the season.  The application window typically opens in September and teams are announced in November.  If you would like more information or are interested in applying, please visit the Elite Athlete Program page for details and application information.

ADVENTURE RACING TEAM

USMES supports many athletes through the USMES Elite Athlete Program.  In 2015, USMES also added adventure racing into a specific club athletic program.  By 2017, USMES had gained enough members and interest and formed a dedicated and supported team for the 2017 Adventure Racing circuit.  The team completed all across the US and other countries for a fantastic inaugural competitive season.  Due to the dynamic and complexity of competition, the Adventure Racing Team is set apart from the other team classifications.  For more information please contact the Adventure Racing Team Manager: Ron Flick ron.flick@usmes.org.
