Washington, D.C. – The Boeing Company has agreed to be a partner and key
supporter of U.S. Military Endurance Sports (USMES), a non-profit organization that supports
athletic activities of U.S. military personnel and veterans, USMES announced today.

“We are honored to have Boeing’s support. It will go a long way toward helping our members—
both able-bodied and wounded—participate in recreational and competitive endurance-sports
activities,” said Bill Jacobus, USMES general manager and retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant
colonel. “Boeing’s support will help us provide the men and women who have served our
country with the resources and tools necessary to maintain physical fitness and healthy nutrition
habits throughout their lives.”

USMES membership is open to all active duty, National Guard, Reserve, retired military and
veterans of all fitness levels. USMES supports active military and veteran athletes through
health and wellness offerings, events and camps, endurance sports equipment partnerships, a
member support network, and adaptive endurance-sports programs for wounded veterans.

“Boeing has a history of deep and often personal connection with the military community and
veterans,” said Dennis Muilenburg, Boeing vice chairman, president and chief operating officer.
“We also believe it’s important to encourage healthy lifestyles and physical fitness. Our
sponsorship of USMES represents an intersection of those interests.”
